Mango cutie!
Elle and I started off the morning in Salem. We had a prime spot in the parking lot, right in front. We met two ladies who raved about the Turkish Pistachio and wanted to hear all about our adventures on the road. They responded with a gasp and a laugh after we told them we were the ones who drove Penelope (our big pink truck), but I haven’t the faintest why.. I think we look exactly like expert truck drivers, very girly ones sure, but experts nonetheless! It was great talking with them and I hope they get online and find us! I also met a guy who had just come back from Italy. He took a cruise around the Mediterranean Sea and told me that his favorite place was Turkey. Naturally, he also had to try the Turkish Pistachio. Another new Ciao Bella fan was born.
At lunchtime we drove around Salem and it was the such a neat town! Between all the witch museums, witch houses, witch restaurants and witch statues it was hard not to get excited and I certainly would like to come back for a visit. The streets are narrow and all the buildings old, you can easily picture fall in love with this town. We ate at a local restaurant and sat out on the deck overlooking a lake and though it was quite chilly for July (especially for two South Carolina girls), it was beautiful.
We spent the afternoon in Lynn and that was fun because we could tell everyone was excited we were there. We had a lot of families come up to the truck. One little boy demanded the Alphonso Mango and didn’t even use the spoon (a spoon would have just gotten in the way). He stuck his face into the cup and when he emerged had the biggest Ciao Bella smile ,while Mango sorbet dripped from his chin. Thank you to him for giving us the cutest picture of the day.
Tomorrow we will be in Gloucester, MA so be sure to check out Facebook and Twitter for locations!

Do you have to use Compari?
Hi Rose Marie!
Danilo Zecchin, Ciao Bella’s Executive Chef, recommends using campari as it is a nice addition, but it is not necessary.
I hope you enjoy the Blood Orange martini.
