West Coast Sunday Tradition

Sunday for most people means the end of the weekend.  But for the West Coast Bella Girls, we work Wednesday through Sunday, so Sunday is the end of our work week, our Friday!

Now, as you know, the West Coast Bella Girls are from Hawaii (the Western most coast of all!).  And in Hawaii, Friday, as the end of the work week, is often referred to as “Aloha Friday”, when you say goodbye to work and any worries to enjoy the weekend. There’s even a song, that would play on the radio stations at home at about 5 pm every Friday evening, that as kids, we would always sing along to!

Since the start of the tour, we have adapted our own version of the song, changing the lyrics to “Aloha Sunday, no work til Wednesday”, and have sung the tune after our last event on Sunday.

Today was no different – and as we pulled on to the Golden Gate bridge headed towards my apartment, Tiff snapped a picture as we broke into the chorus.  Bee do be doo, bee do be doo be doo be do be doo!!

Have a great Monday and Tuesday – we’ll see you on Wednesday, in San Jose!
