Lauren's family enjoying a Ciao Bella event in Richmond

Lauren's family enjoying a Ciao Bella event in Richmond

Elle and I arrived in Richmond, VA late Wednesday night and were welcomed by a wonderful man at the front desk of the hotel. He gave us a tour of the lobby area and offered some late night snacks. We both slept wonderfully that night (we had been sleeping on a floor for 5 days and to have beds was kind of glorious, I feel like I’m a 23-year-old with a much older back).

We woke up and drove to Roanoke where the Southern Foods savior Mark was there to stock our freezers up one more time before we would say bye to him and Billy for the summer. By the time we got back to Richmond it was late afternoon. I went to the gym and had a bike ride on a very high-tech workout bicycle. It had a screen on it where you could watch television or pretend you were biking up a mountain (impressive). After the workout I was ready for a good meal and it just so happened that we were right down the road from some family of mine. I had a delicious Italian dinner with some fabulous family members I don’t often get to see, and of course what better for dessert than Ciao Bella gelato? I showed them our truck and we shared some Chocolate Alba Hazelnut.

Today was our one and only events-day in Richmond, but a fun one it was. A lot of people had told us they had wanted to try Ciao Bella but could not find it in Ukrops, well here is the explanation again and I hope it is seen by many: It is in the NATURAL SECTION. Please check us out there!  The second event was very busy (it was a hot sunny day) and there were many tables and umbrellas already outside of the store for people to sit, relax and enjoy their gelato and sorbet!

Thank you Richmond for having the East Coast Bella Girls today, we had a great time!  We are currently on the road to Maryland, so check out Facebook and Twitter for updates on our locations, our first is at a Harris Teeter in North Bethesda!
