This weekend, for our events in Sacramento, Elk Grove, and Galt, the West Coast Bella team consisted of my hubby Dave and me.
Dave had a little medical scare back in mid-June, so I flew home to help him handle things for a few days. During my absence, I left the tour in the capable hands of my sister, Tiff. But Tiff is headed back to Virginia next week for grad school and a job in the athletic department at Old Dominion University, so this weekend was going to be her last in California. And, as a thank you for being so accommodating in letting me come home when I needed to, Dave and I both really wanted to give her a weekend off, so that she could relax and enjoy San Francisco, as it’s been several years since her last visit out west.
Now, it’s not like he was a rookie. Dave has come to events with us previously this summer, but he’s always been there when both Tiff and I were also there – he’s been another smiling face passing out coupons or answering questions, but he’s never had to actually buckle down and work full events all weekend. I have to say, he aced it – apparently he was paying attention those past weeks, and everything went off without a hitch!
From her reports, it sounds like Tiff had a great weekend off, but I’m pretty sure Dave had just as much fun, being a Bella Boy!
