Louis…The New Bella Boy.

Me with the new Bella Boy, Louis!

Me with the new Bella Boy, Louis!

Lauren and I had an eventful night last night. We got back to the hotel  and relaxed while watching The Fashion Show on Bravo. Lauren and I have become huge fans of Bravo. We get sucked into their shows and can’t turn the channel. Anyway, we had a nice relaxing evening…until around 12:30. I had been sacked out for about 30 minutes when all of a sudden I was woken up by the fire alarm at the hotel. Lauren and I got out of bed and got our purses (I shoved my bunny, Fufu, and my pink blanket in my purse before heading outside. Yes, I’m a five-year-old and still sleep with my stuffed animal and blanket…don’t judge me). This was slightly like deja vu for me because I was in Texas a couple of months ago with my friend Kendra and this same thing happend. Eh, what are you gonna do? Anyway, we went outside and waited with all the other hotel guests for the two firetrucks full of firemen to check things out. Everything was okay and we all went back inside without any further incident. I got back in the bed and let Scott and Seth Avett sing me back to sleep (for all of you who don’t know…The Avett Brothers are my favorite band, and they sing me to sleep every night).

We woke up to a beautiful sunny Massachusetts day. We stopped at Dole and Bailey on our way to our first event to pick up some product. With our freezers full, we headed to Gloucester. We were both unsure as to how to pronouce Gloucester, but the manager gave us a lession in the correct pronunciation. I’m not even going to try with the phonetic spelling because I don’t think I could get it right. Just know that if you pronounce it wrong, you’re not the only one. Apparently most people have trouble with it.

Anyway, the event at the Shaw’s in Gloucester was one of our favorite events so far. Kevin Bacon, the manager, was fantastsic! He saved us a space out front and made us feel welcome. He came outside to check on us several times. We also met Louis Linquata. He owned the store next to Shaw’s. He was our biggest cheerleader. He tried the Turkish Pistachio and fell in love. He spent most of the event with us telling everyone who walked by they had to try a sample. Louis was so excited about what we were doing that he called our boss, Deborah. He left her a very entertaining message. We gave him a t-shirt to wear because he was so enthusiastic. He wore it while he was working so he could advertise. We also had several people come up to the truck and say, “the man who owns the store next door told us we had to try some gelato…” Thanks for all your help, Louis. It was great meeting you. We had a blast!

We continued our fun, sunny day at the Shaw’s in Newburyport. Once again we had a spot right in front of the store. We had several people come up to us and comment on how Penelope’s bright colors made them really curious as to what we were doing. The most popular flavor today in Newburyport and Gloucester was Chocolate Alba Hazelnut.

Thanks to everyone who came to see us today and cheer us on. We’ll be in New Hampshire the next couple of days. Lauren and I have never been to New Hampshire so we’re excited to visit. Make sure to check on facebook.com and twitter.com for our locations. We’ll see you there!
