Managers at Shaw's enjoying some yummy Ciao Bella samples.
Each day contains little moments of happiness. Whether they’re an escape from the ordinary or an unexpected addition to it, they are what get us through the day. During this tour thus far, I’ve met a lot of different people from different places with different approaches to life. But one thing remains the same. Everyone strives for each day to contain a unique moment of enjoyment.
In the chaotic, monotonous grind of everyday life, these little moments are what count the most. On the special and rare occasion, they come in the most significant of ways. It’s a birth, a wedding, a promotion or a graduation. But during the everyday grind they can be the smallest, almost unrecognizable occurrences. It’s a smile from a stranger, a free half hour to listen to your IPod, having a good workout at the gym or an unexpected treat.
The previously listed events are all ways in which I make the most out of every day. I’m lucky in the fact that my job description requires that I help people discover a little moment of happiness during their days. I, personally, listen to my IPod in the morning while getting ready for the day. I run at the gym every night. I enjoy a well-made vanilla latte. I get smiles from strangers while they visit Penelope. The best part is that I know I’m contributing to other people’s moments.
People will come up to the truck and tell Elle and me that we are bringing a special treat to the neighborhood, but sometimes it’s more subtle than that. People come up to our truck with cash-in-hand and when we tell them the gelato is free, the shock and smile (which is one of their moments, and ours is well) is what makes this job truly great.
Elle and I look forward to seeing you and hopefully continuing to make your day’s better while you make ours better as well… Ciao Bella style. Check on our Facebook and Twitter page for locations, and thank you.
