We love the limelight at Ciao Bella and this weekend will be no different. Ciao Bella’s newest addition to the freezer aisle – The Key Lime Graham Gelato Square – is up for a coveted sofi gold award in the Best Dessert Category at the Summer Fancy Food Show held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in NYC.
They are a fresh spin on the classic ice cream sandwich and pack a delicious punch that makes them hard to put down. The generously sized serving of Key Lime Graham Cracker Gelato(sofi gold 2009) nestled between two graham cracker wafers are reminiscent of homemade pie crust. With a center crafted from a blend of lime juice, graham cracker and pure cream, the squares appeal to both gelato and sorbet enthusiasts with its tart and creamy finish.
Over the last twelve years, Ciao Bella’s innovation has earned us fifteen gold statues and we hope to make it +1 on Monday night. These frozen treats are one of Chef Danilo Zecchin’s most amazing creations. One warning, they are not for the calorie conscious, but every bite is worth the indulgence.
The sofi Awards are open to members of the NASFT, a not-for-profit trade association established in 1952 with more than 2,900 members throughout the U.S. and abroad. For more information on the NASFT and its Fancy Food Shows, go to www.specialtyfood.com

These are extraordinarily good. And lower in calories than having a whole piece of regular key lime pie, but you still get that wonderful tartness and creaminess.
This is a winner and so good that I would be tempted to serve it as dessert for dinner guests. In fact, I think I will!
In NJ: found it at WHOLE FOODS.
…and please please tell me where I can find them when I leave Boulder and head home to Illinois. I’m a half hour from a Whole Foods and close to many Targets. I hope to god they’re there!!!!
