Gelato at the Harbor

Today was our last day in Maryland. We started the morning off in Baltimore and a perfect morning it was.  The temperature was about 85 and there was a perfect breeze coming off the harbor.  We had a woman from England stop by with excitement. She tells us that in England they don’t hand out such great things for free! She also mentioned that the sorbet overseas tastes like soap- nothing like Ciao Bella’s all natural intensely flavored sorbets with 60-80% fruit.

This afternoon we had an event in Carney, which is located right outside of Baltimore. Another successful event, especially for Monday (Mondays are usually a bit slower). My mother’s friend from college stopped by to meet me and give Ciao Bella a try. She showed me old pictures of my Mom and told me stories while I helped yet another fall in love with our gelato. Turkish Pistachio was her favorite, but the overall favorite of the day was the Tahitian Vanilla. I used to go to Camden Yards all the time growing up and have always loved the Orioles, so it was wonderful being able to see everyone in their orange and black!

Thank you Maryland!  Elle and I had a great time and we hope you enjoyed visiting the Ciao Bella gelato mobile (whom we call Penelope). Tomorrow we start our journey further north towards Boston. Don’t forget to check into Facebook and Twitter to see where we will be next!
