Fighting Cancer One Scoop at a Time

Ciao Bella is gearing up for the 29th Annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl. The Scooper Bowl is an event held every year in Boston, Massachusetts that raises money for cancer research and care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The Scooper Bowl will be held at the City Hall Plaza in Boston and will last from June 7th until June 9th. Scooping will begin around noon and will continue until 8pm every day. That means 24 hours or 1440 minutes or 86,400 seconds of scooping!

This year will mark Ciao Bella’s second year at the Scooper Bowl and we couldn’t be happier to be back! Not only are we helping a great cause, but we’re scooping for those people who have been affected by cancer in some way. On a personal  note, my nonno (that’s Italian for grandfather) lost his battle to colon cancer and two of my uncles lost their lives to lung cancer. I’ll be keeping them in mind while I’m scooping next week!

We’ll be scooping four of our most popular flavors, including my absolute favorite – Mango Sorbet. We will also have our refreshing Blueberry Sorbet. Go ahead, try a combo of the two!

Perhaps you like to put a spin on things… Well then, you can try our Belgian Chocolate S’mores Gelato or our Key Lime Graham Gelato. Both flavors give you a traditional treat with a twist!
