Family Business!

The West Coast Bella Girls had some company for our last day of events in Southern California!  Today’s customers were treated not only to our delicious samples, but also to the smiling faces of two more of our family members!

Dave (my fellow!), Tiff, and me (Tori)

First to join us was my husband, who surprised us by flying down to LA to join us for the 4th of July weekend, which I had been not so secretly hoping he’d do all summer!

Having Dave around was actually a pretty big help – there’s one task in particular that usually require a ladder for Tiff and me to do are much simpler for him to handle at at 6’4″.  We still need a ladder for the speakers and the awning, but Dave is able to snap open or closed the locks on the 80 lbs. metal panel that we take off the passenger side of the truck to reveal our serving window!

Caroline!

I didn’t think it could get much more fun than having Dave join us, but then, for our afternoon event, one of our cousins decided to spend her Sunday afternoon, hanging out with us and spreading the sorbet and gelato gospel!  Caroline was well versed in the Ciao Bella doctrine, after hanging out with Tiff and me so much over our past month in Southern California!

Ever since we first rolled into town, our cousins have been smitten: with our awesome truck, with our delicious sorbet and gelato samples (which they rightfully earned by visiting more than one event and sharing with each other so that they could try all the flavors!), with our adorable matching pink t-shirts, pretty much with the whole gig!

Caroline’s favorite of the flavors we are sampling is the Turkish Pistachio (although her overall favorite is the raspberry sorbet), and Dave had never tried that flavor, so it was fun for Tiff and me watching the two of them as she described the flavor and then he tried it for the first time – two more Bella ambassadors to spread the word!

All in all, it was a great way to close out our time in Southern California.  We’ll be headed north in the morning, back to the Bay Area, so Northern California, get ready!  We can’t wait.
