Brand bolsters product offering and availability at national retailers
Florham Park, NJ (April 12, 2011) – Ciao Bella Gelato Company announced today that it has expanded its national retail distribution for 2011. The brand is offering more locations for consumers across the country to purchase their indulgent collection of gelato and sorbet pints, cups and novelty products. Adding to the excitement, Ciao Bella is introducing four new items: Blueberry Passion Sorbet Bars, Belgian Chocolate S’mores Gelato Squares, Belgian Chocolate S’mores Gelato Pints and Belgian Chocolate Gelato Single Serve Cups.
Prepping for a busy summer, the expansion kicks off Ciao Bella’s 2011 campaign to share its innovative gelato and sorbet creations with more consumers across the country. The brand’s full line of products will be more widely available at major retailers nationwide, including Whole Foods Market, Safeway, Kroger, Costco, Giant Landover, Target, Jewel, Cub Foods, Albertsons, Wal-Mart, ShopRite, and BJs; and new in-store gelato and sorbet scoop shops are also planned for retailers in Atlanta, New York City, South Florida and both Northern and Southern California.

The 2011 product additions to the Ciao Bella line offer a fresh twist to the brand’s classic flavors and most innovative creations. Joining last year’s award-winning Key Lime Graham Gelato Squares, the Belgian Chocolate S’mores Gelato Squares are Ciao Bella’s frozen rendition of a campfire classic. The S’mores squares are a chef-inspired blend of Belgian chocolate gelato with swirls of marshmallow nestled between two crisp graham cracker wafers. Following the 2010 buzz around the brand’s Blood Orange Sorbet Bars, Ciao Bella is also adding to their refreshing, low-calorie line of sorbet novelties with Blueberry Passion Bars, an enticing 70-calorie concoction of the popular Wild Blueberry and Passion Fruit Sorbet pint flavors.
In addition to the newly added retailers, Ciao Bella continues to be a hit at America’s top restaurants and major national and regional retail chains where the brand is currently sold. These customers include A&P, Fairway, Food Emporium, The Fresh Market, Gourmet Garage, Harris Teeter, Key Food, Kings Supermarkets, Big Y, New Season’s Market, Earth Fare, Market of Choice, Citarella, PCC Natural Markets, Sprouts Farmer’s Market, and Stop & Shop.
Ciao Bella will also continue its consumer sampling blitz this summer. With a primary focus on its expanded distribution in Northern California, Seattle, Chicago, New York and New England; there will be featured stops at popular events like the Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl in Boston, Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival in San Francisco and Fashion Week in New York.
